MEDICUBE – Azelaic Acid 16 BB Calming Serum (30ml)

A highly concentrated calming serum formulated with 16% azelaic acid to help refine the appearance of clogged pores, excess oil, blemishes, redness, and uneven texture. Enriched with niacinamide, panthenol, centella asiatica, and ceramide NP, it helps soothe and hydrate the skin while promoting a clearer, smoother, and more balanced-looking complexion.

Good for skin types:

Normal · Dry · Combination · Oily · Sensitive · Blemish-Prone

Targets skin concerns:

Blemishes · Redness · Excess oil · Clogged pores · Uneven texture · Dark spots

Key ingredients:

• Azelaic Acid 16% — helps care for excess sebum and clogged pores while improving the appearance of blemishes, redness, and uneven texture

• Niacinamide — helps brighten the complexion, improve the appearance of dark spots, and support the skin barrier

• Panthenol — helps soothe and hydrate the skin while supporting the moisture barrier

• Centella Asiatica — helps calm and comfort troubled or stressed-looking skin

• Allantoin — helps soothe and protect the skin from dryness and discomfort

• Ceramide NP — helps strengthen the skin barrier and reduce moisture loss

• Squalane — helps soften the skin and support moisture retention

How to use:

After cleansing and toner, apply a few drops to the face and neck.

Gently spread over the skin, focusing on areas of concern.

Pat lightly until absorbed.

Follow with moisturiser.

Apply sunscreen during the day.

Routine step:

Cleanser → Toner → Azelaic Acid Serum → Moisturiser → Sunscreen (morning)

How often:

Suitable for daily use, morning or evening. If you're new to azelaic acid, start once daily or every second day and gradually increase according to your skin's tolerance.

Beginner tip:

Start with a thin layer and allow it to absorb fully before applying additional skincare. Avoid introducing several strong active products at the same time, particularly if your skin is sensitive.

Please note:

Due to the high concentration of azelaic acid, slight residue or pilling may occur if too much product is applied or multiple layers are used. Apply a thin layer and allow it to absorb fully. The formula also contains alcohol denat. and, depending on the current formulation, may contain lavender oil, so patch testing is recommended for sensitive skin. Avoid applying to broken or inflamed skin.

Key difference:

This is not just a calming azelaic acid serum — it delivers a high 16% azelaic acid concentration specifically aimed at the “clogged pores + excess oil + blemishes + redness” combination. It also pairs the azelaic acid with niacinamide and panthenol, giving it a more comprehensive clear + calm + balance approach than a basic brightening serum.
